Forming his first quartet in 1999, Alex Bellegarde along with Montreal artists Alain Mercure, Frédè Simard and Eric St Jean explored jazz styles such as swing, bop, funk and free jazz.  They produced their first album À Chacun Son Tour in 2000. 

Two of these compositions are included in the Multimedia, CD  Montreal Jazz and Blues Plus, vvrecords 2001 which  groups a range of jazz, blues, reggae, Latin and folk artists such as Vic Vogel, Le Jazz Big Band,  Chucho Valdez, Geraldine Hunt, Dean Cottrill, 4 Brass, Alex Bellegarde, plus…
